Headless bodies of four students were on Monday found in a village in southeastern Khost province, a public representative said.

The decapitated young boys belonged to two families living in Zoor village of Musakhel district. Their bodies were found Monday morning near the village, Shafiq Mujahid, a provincial council member, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said it was not known as yet that who killed the students.

"Two of them were school students and the two others were studying at a private higher education institute," Ahmad, a resident of the village, said.

He accused a Taliban commander, Kakai, of killing the four on the charge of having link with the government. Cards of the Hizb-i-Islami Afghanistan (HIA) party were also found near the dead, he said.
