Top Taliban commander escaped from prison by paying bribe

Naqibullah in an interview with BBC told that he has given bribe to security officials to get away

Mullah Naqibullah, one of the Taliban’s top commanders, has apparently escaped from prison and given several interviews to reporters. He claims he escaped by bribing security officials.

Naqibullah is the top Taliban leader in Afghanistan. He says in his interview that National Security staff helped him to go back to his province in Helmand which Taliban stronghold.

Sieamak Heravie the spokesman of Afghanistan President told in a press conference that they have started investigating of Naqibullah escape from the prison.

Naqibullah in an interview with BBC told that he has given US$15,000 as bribe to security officials to get away from the prison. He says this is the third time he is released from the prison by paying bribe.
