Local sources in Nuristan province say that as a result of gunfire attributed to Pakistani forces targeting a vehicle in Kamdesh district, a woman health worker and her three-year-old child have been killed, and three others injured.
According to the sources, the incident occurred on the morning of 18th March in the Bagicha area of Kamdesh district. It is said that the health worker was on his way home for the Eid holiday when the vehicle carrying her came under fire.
Among the injured are the health worker’s husband, another son, and the driver of the vehicle.
Based on available information, the health worker was employed at a medical center in Kamdesh district and had intended to travel home.
