Three road workers were killed during an airstrike by foreign troops in the southeastern province of Khost, a private construction company official said on Friday.

A fourth worker was wounded during the overnight air raid by the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in the Sperai district, Faqir Mohammad Zadran told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The Malak Baba Construction Company head said they were building the road linking the provincial capital with the district. The victims were providing security for the company's equipment, he added.
