Pakistani airstrike leaves 15 injured in Khost

The civil hospital director, Dr. Majeed Mangal, told Pajhwok Afghan News they had been delivered 15 injured people, including seven women and six children

A Pakistani airstrike injured 15 people, including women and children, on the outskirts of Khost City, the capital of southeastern Khost province, near the Durand Line, officials said on Saturday.

The airstrike took place on Friday evening in the Lakaro area, said the governor’s spokesman, Mubariz Zadran. He said the 15 people injured in the attack had been taken to the civil hospital.

The civil hospital director, Dr. Majeed Mangal, told Pajhwok Afghan News they had been delivered 15 injured people, including seven women and six children. Three of the injured were in critical condition, he said.

One of the injured persons, Adam Khan, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the children belonged to his family and they were injured in an airstrike by Pakistani forces.

The injured were taken to hospital by border police personnel, he said.
