15-year-old Afghan Girl Gang-raped in Takhar

A search for the two accused still at large is underway

Police arrested three people accused of raping a teenage girl in the northern province of Takhar, officials said on Tuesday.

The 15-year-old was gang-raped by five men in the Tash Tamshoq village of Kalifgan district on Monday night after they forced their way into her house.

The alleged rapists tied up her mother and rapped the girl, the district police chief, Najibullah Dehqan, told Pajhwok Afghan News. A search for the two accused still at large is underway.
