Pregnant women stabbed to death in Parwan

The woman had knife wounds on her forehead, back of her ear and neck

A husband fatally stabbed his pregnant wife on Thursday due to a family dispute in the central province of Parwan, an official said.

Hamidullah, 34, killed his 22-year-old pregnant wife on Thursday morning in Deh Maskin area of Bagram district, deputy police chief, Col. Abdul Razaq Quraishi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Quraishi said there was a dispute between the couple, but did not give any further details. The husband had fled the area, but security personnel were searching from him, he said.

The woman had knife wounds on her forehead, back of her ear and neck, a doctor in the forensic department of the local hospital, Abdul Muneer, said.

The baby was also lost, he said.

The acting director of the women’s affairs department, Shah Jahand Yazdanparast, condemned the incident and asked for a serious punishment for the killer.

Three days ago, a husband seriously wounded his wife with a knife after the woman asked for a divorce.
