A resident of the First District of Kabul committed suicide at 2 pm by eating 100 Phenobarbatone tablets. The neighbors said that he was the bread winner of a very large family and also had the responsibility of feeding his orphan nieces and nephews.
One of the neighbors said, “All his siblings and nieces and nephews are now left without someone to earn for them. A whole family of twenty to twenty five people was dependent on him.”
One person said, “Because there were no jobs he was left unemployed. This is a major problem and our government has the responsibility to provide jobs for our youngsters so they don’t do such acts.”
Another neighbor said he had lost both his father and brother in the wars.
Some time back a man in the Second District in Kabul, committed suicide by throwing himself from the rooftop, because of unemployment and domestic violence.
