RAWA seeks protection of innocent people
PESHAWAR, Sept 17: Condemning the terrorist attacks on the United States, the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan (RAWA) has asked the US government not to victimise innocent Afghan population and to "differentiate between the people of Afghanistan and a handful of fundamentalists."
In a press release issued here on Sunday, the association stated that RAWA "stands with the rest of the world in expressing their sorrow and condemnation for this barbaric act of violence and terror."
"RAWA," the release continued, "had already warned that the US should not support the most treacherous, most criminal, most anti-democratic and anti-women Islamic fundamentalist parties because they had committed ... heinous crimes against their people and they would feel no qualms in committing such crimes against the American people whom they consider infidel."
