Taliban seize arms, ammunition of Iran being sent to opposition

PESHAWAR - The Taliban authorities seized a huge quantity of arms and ammunitions, including the Stinger, coming from a neighbouring Muslim country [Iran] for the opposition forces, near Sheendand, Farah province, bordering Iran, on Wednesday last. According to Afghan sources, the Taliban authorities seized a huge quantity of arms and ammunition, including one Stinger surface-to-air missile, six rocket launchers and more than 20 assault rifles near Sheendand and arrested two smugglers. The consignment was being smuggled from a neighbouring Muslim country for the opposition forces in Afghanistan, added the sources.
